　スイスiterate GmbHは現地時間2025年08月19日、同社が開発しているMac/Windowsのクロスプラットフォーム対応のクラウドストレージマウントツール「Mountain Duck」のメジャーアップデートとなる「Mountain Duck v5.0」をリリースしたと発表しています。

　Mountain Duck v5.0は2020年06月にリリースされた「Mountain Duck v4.0」から約5年ぶりのメジャーアップデートで、v4.xからの無料アップデートではなく、有料アップデートとなっていますが、

macOS版ではAppleのFile Provider APIを、Windows版ではMicrosoftのCloud Files APIを利用し、クラウドストレージをFinderやファイルエクスプローラーと統合するIntegrated機能が実装され、クラウド上のコンテンツをローカルに同期し、サーバーにアクセス可能になるとアップロードされ、常にオフラインで編集できるファイルやフォルダを指定することも可能になっています。

　また、これによりSpotlightやWindows Searchでコンテンツを検索することが可能になった他、macOSでもデフォルトのファイル共有プロトコルとなっているSMBプロトコルのサポート、アクティビティウィンドウの追加、カスタムバージョニングのサポートなどCyberduckからいくつかの機能も移植されています。

　Mountain Duck v5.0のシステム要件はmacOS 13 Ventura以降またはWindows 10以降のMacとPCで、ライセンスは1ライセンス49.00ドルですが、公式サイトには10分間各サービスへ接続できるトライアル版も公開されているので、気になる方は試してみてください。

Mountain DuckのMac App Store版は、まだ「Mountain Duck v4.x」となっているので注意してください。
