元Appleでエンジニアで、現在はHTML5アニメーションエディタHypeシリーズを開発＆販売しているJonathan Deutschさんは現地時間2022年03月14日、HTML5アニメーションエディタ「Hype 4」で、Pythonで書かれたExport ScriptsをmacOS 12.3 Montereyでも利用できるようにする追加パッケージ「PythonExportScriptEnabler.pkg」を新たに公開しています。
Today Apple released the macOS 12.3 update, which unfortunately removes the Python programming language from the operating system. […] To keep your Python-based export scripts working, Tumult is providing a custom installation of Python for you to install called the Python Export Script Enabler along with changes in the Hype v4.1.8 application to utilize it.

これはAppleがmacOS 12.3 MontereyアップデートでmacOSからPythonランタイム(python2)を削除したため、Hype 4のPythonで書かれたExport Scriptsが機能しなくなる問題に対応するための追加パッケージで、追加パッケージをインストールするとPython 2.7のランタイムがHypeアプリにインストールされるようになっています。
PythonExportScriptEnablerはHype v4.1.8で対応しており、Hype v4.xユーザーは無料アップデートとなっているそうなので、ユーザーの方はチェックしてみてください。
Python Export Script Enabler
The Python Export Script Enabler is a package that will re-enable Python Export Scripts to work again. It does this by:
- Installing the Python 2.7.18 programming language in /Library/Application Support/Hype/python/
- Installing a python_enabler.sh shell script in ~/Library/Application Scripts/com.tumult.Hype4/ that acts as a trampoline to run Export Scripts through this custom Python installation
- Using Hype 4.1.8 and later to call this trampoline instead of the Export Script directly so it runs on the working Python installation
