　Mac CatalystでiPadとMacに対応したベクターグラフィックアプリ「Vectornator Pro X」がルーラーやグリッド、レイヤーごとの書き出しをサポートしています。詳細は以下から。

　VectornatorシリーズはドイツのスタートアップLinearity GmbHが開発しているベクターグラフィック・アプリで、2019年度はユーザー数が100万人を突破し資金調達に成功したため、AppleのMac Catalystを利用してMac版も無料で公開されましたが、このVectornatorの最新バージョンとなる「Vectornator Pro X.2 (v13.2)」がリリースされています。

Vectornator X.2の新機能

ルーラーとグリッド

　Vectornator X.2では、新たにキャンパスにルーラー(定規)を表示し、オブジェクトを正確な位置に配置できるようになったほか、

同バージョンではグリッド設定に[等尺性]というオプションが追加され、同じグリッド間隔とグリッド角度で正確なベクターグラフィックを描くことが可能になっています。

　ルーラーとグリッドはどちらも[設定]の[作業画面] → [ルーラー]または[グリッド]からON/OFFまたは選択することができます。

達成

　また、Vectornator X.2では「達成項目」というパネルが追加され、Apple Watchのアクティビティのメダルのように、Vectornatorで利用した機能や時間によりメダルをもらえるようになっています。(これはiOS版Vectornator限定の機能です)

レイヤーごとエクスポートとユーザーフォント

　Vectornator XはAdobe Illustratorへの書き出しにも対応していますが、Vectornator X.2ではJPEおよびPNG, SVG, PDF形式でレイヤーごとの書き出しにも対応し、macOS版ではユーザーがインストールしたフォントを指定できるようになりました。

　Vectornator X.2のリリースノートは以下の通りですが、細かいアップデートではUndoの最大数がiPad Proで最大600、古いiOSデバイスでは400に増え、macOS版ではTouch Barとコンテキストメニューが改善されているそうで、Vectornatorシリーズはこれまで通り無料で公開し続けるそうなので、気になる方は試してみてください。

After a long while, we’re finally back with the biggest Vectornator update ever. With X.2, we focused on improving your workflow and making everything in Vectornator feel snappier and faster. By bringing rulers back and combining it with a much better guides system we cannot wait to see what you will design next.
