　Apple Design Awardを受賞したWebエディタ「Espresso for Mac」のv5.3アップデートがリリースされています。詳細は以下から。

　EspressoはベルギーのMacRabbitが2010年から開発＆販売しているMac用のWeb統合エディタで、2007年にApple Design AwardsのBest Mac OS X Developer Toolを受賞していますが、このEspressoが2年ぶりのアップデートとなる「Espresso for Mac v5.3」をリリースしています。

Espresso 5.3 adds security enhancements, improves macOS Catalina compatibility, as well as addressing a number of minor issues. It requires macOS 10.13+ and is recommended for all Espresso users.

　Espresso for Mac v5.3では新たにAppleの公証が取得され、macOS 10.15 CatalinaでもGatekeeperにブロックされずに起動することが可能になったほか、Swift 5およびSparkleのアップデートも行われています。

　また、Espressoはオリジナルの開発元であるMacRabbitから、その友人であるWarewolfのPeteへ譲渡され、さらにその後Peteさんが病気になりEspressoの開発が続けられないとして売りに出されていましたが、アップデートと同時に公開された開発者ブログによると、Espressoは現在、InterarchyやKeyboard Maestroの開発を行っているKangacodeのMattさんが引き継ぎ開発を続けていくそうなので、興味のある方は15時間利用可能なトライアル版を利用してみてください。
