　Googleが2023年1月にmacOS 10.15.7 CatalinaとWindows 7以下のMacとPCで「Google Drive for desktop」のサポートを終了しています。詳細は以下から。

　Googleは現地時間2022年10月27日、MacとWindows向けにアカウントステータスメニューのレイアウトを改善し、不具合修正とパフォーマンスを改善したGoogle Drive用デスクトップクライアント「Google Drive for desktop v66.0」のロールアウトを開始すると共に、2023年01月に古いmacOS/Windowsのサポートを終了すると発表しています。

In January 2023, Drive for desktop is ending support for Windows 7 and macOS versions below 10.15.7. To continue using Drive for desktop:

Windows users: Upgrade to Windows 8 or higher by January 2023.

macOS users: Upgrade to macOS 10.15.7 or higher by January 2023.

　サポートが終了するのはmacOS 10.15.6 Catalina*およびWindows 7以下のMacとPCで、サポートが終了する正確な日時やバージョンは記載されていませんが、2023年01月以降もGoogle Drive　for desktopアプリを利用したい場合は、macOS 10.15.7 CatalinaまたはWindows 8以降へアップグレードするようにコメントされています。

*Googleのサポートページでは”macOS versions below 10.15.7″と記載されていますが、システム要件がmacOS 10.15.7 Catalina以降で、2022年05月にリリースされたv57でもmacOS 10.15.7がサポートされているので、macOS 10.15.6 Catalina以下が正しいと思われます。

　また、macOS 13 Ventura以降でGoogle Drive for desktopアプリを利用するには、システム設定アプリの[ログイン項目] → [バックグラウンドでの実行を許可]でGoogle Updaterの実行許可を与える必要があります。
