　OS X 10.11 El Capitanのシステム保護機能Rootlessのためメニュバー拡張アプリ「Bartender」の一部機能が現在使用できない状態になっているそうです。詳細は以下から。

　AppleはOS X 10.11 El Capitanで新しいセキュリティ機能(System Integrity Protection)通称”Rootless”を実装するとWWDC 2015で発表していますが、このRootlessのためにメニュバー拡張アプリ”Bartender“の一部機能が使用できなくなるかもしれないと開発元のSurtees Studiosがブログを公開しています。

Current Issues

• As of OS X El Capitan beta 2, Bartender is no longer able to control system items (System items are Apple Menu Items such as Spotlight, Notification Center, Battery, WiFi, etc), this is due to the new System Integrity Protection added to OS X El Capitan, we are looking into what we can do, but currently Bartender in El Capitan cannot control system items unless System Integrity Protection is turned off (Something we would not recommend doing just to control System Items using Bartender).

• Items not showing in Bartender Bar, we have a fix for this in internal testing and will release this soon.

　記事によると現在 開発者向けに配布されているOS X 10.11 El Capitan Developer Beta 2でBartenderにアイコンが表示できなくなっているのはWi-FiやSpotlight, 通知センターやバッテリー情報などのシステムアイテムで、

　TotalFinder と同様 SIPをOFFにする事で全ての機能を使用可能だそうですが、Bartenderの開発チームは現在 El Cpitanに対応したBartenderの内部テストを行っておりベータ版をリリースする予定だそうなので、それまではシステムアイテムをBartenderに表示しないことを勧めています。
