　米ワシントンのソフトウェア会社Flying Meat Inc.は現地時間2024年12月16日、Mac App Store Best of 2013&2015を受賞したMac用グラフィックアプリ「Acorn」シリーズの最新バージョンとなる「Acorn v8.0」をリリースしたと発表しています。

　Flying MeatのGus Muellerさんによると、Acorn v8.0ではAIを利用したサブジェクトの選択、マスク、背景の削除が可能になり、全てのツールで単位をinch、cm、pixelへ変更できるようになり、新しいキャンパスルーラー、ルックアップテーブル(LUT)、ライブテキストツール、CSVファイルを利用したテキストや画像の動的置き換え、JPEG-XLなどがサポートされています。

　Acorn v8.0のシステム要件はmacOS 14 Sonoma以降のIntel/Apple Silicon Macで、価格は29.99ドルですが、現在は発売を記念して19.99ドル(3,000円)でMac App Storeおよび公式サイトで販売されており、14日間利用可能なトライアル版も公開されているので、興味のある方は公式サイトをチェックしてみてください。
