KekaはスペインのaONe(Jorge Garcia Armero)さんが2009年からオープンソースで開発を続いているMac用ファイル圧縮・解凍ユーティリティで、ZIPやTAR, RAR, 7Z, ISOなどに加え、Apple独自のApple Disk Image(.dmg)やApple Archive(.aar)形式にも対応していますが、このKekaの最新バージョンとなる「Keka v1.3.0」が新たにリリースされています。

Keka v1.3.0では、今年の秋にリリースが予定されているmacOS 14 Sonomaをフルサポートした他、ZIPなどのアーカイブファイルに関連付けした場合に反映されるアイコン(Kekafied file)がAppleのHuman Interface Guidelinesに沿ったデザインに修正されており、

各ファイル形式で圧縮時の検証機能が追加され、Apple Disk Image(.dmg)の暗号化とAppleがmacOS 11 Big Sur/iOS 14で導入しアップデートを続けているApple Archive(.aar)ファイルの暗号化と復号化がmacOS 12 Monterey以降でサポートされているそうです。
この他、Keka v1.3.0ではWebArchive Extractorの追加サポート、Web版でアップデートを自動インストールするオプション、macOS 12 Monterey以降で.aarの複数ファイル/フォルダ圧縮の強化など様々な修正が行われているので、ユーザーの方はアップデートをチェックしてみてください。
