　カナダAgileBitsは現地時間2021年05月18日、昨年08月にDevelopment Preview、10月にOpen Beta版を公開し開発を続けてきたパスワード管理アプリ1PasswordのLinuxデスクトップ版「1Password for Linux」を正式にリリースしたと発表しています。

Welcoming Linux to the 1Password Family – 1Password

　1Password for Linuxのバックエンドはブラウザ拡張「1Password X」で培ったRust、UIはReactでコーディングされており、DebianやUbuntu、CentOS、Fedora、Arch Linux、、Red Hat Enterprise Linux、Snap storeのディストリビューションやストアで利用できるようになっています。

　機能としては基本的なパスワード管理はもちろん、X11クリップボードのサポートやGTKテーマと同期で自動的に変更されるDark Mode、GNOMEやKDEなどのウィンドウマネージャとの統合、漏洩したパスワードを知らせるWatchtower、マルチアカウントをサポートしたUnlock Screen、FirefoxやChromeなどのデフォルトブラウザ機能拡張などで、Yubikeyなど生体認証センサーを利用すればパスワードレスでのアンロックも可能です。

　AgileBitsは今後、1Password LinuxおよびMac, Windows, iOS, Androidにセキュアなファイル添付、アイテムのアーカイブ機能、Watchtower Dashboard、予測検索をサポートしたQuick Find機能などを追加する計画があるそうなので、1Passwordユーザーの方はチェックしてみてください。

ARM版Linuxへの対応は今後のため、Apple M1チップ搭載のMac上に構築した仮想マシンでは利用できません。
