　iPhoneのTouch IDを使いMacのロックを解除することの出来るアプリ「MacID」がアップデートし、Alternate IconやMacBookのバッテリー表示機能に対応しています。詳細は以下から。

　MacIDはイギリスのKane Cheshireさんが2015年から開発＆販売を行っているiOSアプリで、iPhoneやiPadのTouch IDやペアリングしたApple WatchからMacのスクリーンロックを解除できるアプリですが、このMacIDがv1.3.6へアップデートし、iOS 10.3からサポートされた「Alternate Icon」機能やMacBookのバッテリー表示機能をサポートしています。

Alternate Icon

　Alternate IconはiOS 10.3から利用可能になったユーザーがサードパーティ製アプリのアイコンを変更できる新機能で、既にNFLやscCalendar, Twitterrificなどがこの機能に対応していますが、MacIDもv1.3.6(iOS 10.3以降)でこの機能に対応し、

Are you running iOS 10.3 or newer? Then you can take advantage of new APIs in iOS that allow us to change the app icon on your home screen. That’s right! When you change your colour scheme in MacID for iOS, you can have the icon change too!

設定から[Display] → [Colors] → [App Icons]で変更したい色を選択するだけで、デフォルトを含め15個(色)のアイコンをホームスクリーンに設定することが可能となっています。

新しいWidget

　MacID v1.3.6ではWidgetやwatchOS用アプリもアップデートされており、ペアリングしたMacBookのバッテリー残量が表示されるようになっています。

The MacID widget and MacID for watchOS now show the current charge levels for MacBooks. MacID for macOS hooks into times that it already communicates with MacID for iOS, so there is no extra power used for this.

また、MacIDのアップデートに伴いMac用MacIDクライアントもアップデートされており、iPhoneやApple WatchをMacから離した時にMacをロックする「オートロック」機能を常に止めることが可能になり、BluetoothやApple Script機能を改善しているので、ユーザーの方はアップデートしてみてください。
