　Microsoftは現地時間2025年08月06日、同社のAIアシスタントCopilotのMacアプリ「Microsoft Copilot」をバージョン22.9.430806004へアップデートし、新たにSmart ModeでOpenAIの最新AIモデル「GPT-5」をサポートしたと発表しています。

　OpenAIのGPT-5については、太平洋時間08月07日の午後05時、日本時間の08日午前02時に発表があるようですが、現在のところ詳細は公表されていないためかリリースノートには「より直感的な会話と深い推論が可能 (more intuitive conversations and deeper reasoning)」としか記載されておらず、

Microsoft Copilot(日本語、英語環境ともに)に聞いても曖昧な答えしか返ってきませんが、CopilotはOpenAIのGPTをベースに利用していることは確かなので、GPT-5が発表＆ロールアウトされれば、その日のうちに利用できるようになると思われます。

現時点では、Microsoft CopilotがGPT-5を使っているかどうかは公式に発表されていないんだ。Copilotは「最新の大規模言語モデル」を使っているとだけ明言されていて、それがGPT-4なのかGPT-4 Turboなのか、あるいはGPT-5なのかは不明なんだ。
