　Appleは現在、今年の秋のリリースを予定しているmacOS 15.0 SequoiaとiOS/iPadOS 18.0のBeta 8を公開し開発を続けていますが、現地時間2024年08月28日付けで、新たに「macOS 15.1 Sequoia」と「iOS/iPadOS 18.1」のBeta 3が公開されています。

　macOS 15.1 SequoiaとiOS/iPadOS 18.1は、既にリリースされたBeta 1で発表されている通り、AppleがWWDC24で発表した同社の生成AIを利用したパーソナル人工知能システム「Apple Intelligence」のテストが米国(英語)で可能となっていますが、

AppleはmacOS 15.1 SequoiaとiOS/iPadOS 18.1 beta 3の公開に合わせてApple Intelligenceのプレビューページをアップデートし、新たに写真アプリで、Googleの「消しゴムマジック」のように、写真内のオブジェクトを検出＆消すことができるAI写真編集機能「Clean Up」が利用できるようになると発表しています。

　ただ、注釈によるとClean Up機能は、Apple IntelligenceをサポートするiPhone 15 Pro、iPhone 15 Pro Max、そしてApple M1以降のチップを搭載したMacとiPadでのみ利用可能になるそうなので、テストされる方は注意してください。
