　元Appleのエンジニアで現在はRed Sweater Softwareを設立しMac/iOSアプリを開発しているDaniel Jalkutさんは現地時間2021年09月02日、同社が開発＆販売しているWordPressやMicro.blog, Tumblr, TypePad, MovableType対応のブログエディタ「MarsEdit v4.5」アップデートをリリースし、新たにWordPressに公開済みのメディアの同期に対応したと発表しています。

　MarsEditは2017年にリリースされた「MarsEdit v7.0」でWordPress投稿への最適化され、画像やファイルなどのメディア・アップロード機能は実装していたものの、既にWordPressへアップロードされた/またはMarsEdit以外からWordPressへアップロードされたメディアの同期は不可能でしたが、本アップデートされた「MarsEdit v4.5」ではMedia Managerの[Published]タブに全てのメディアが表示、再利用できるようになっています。

　また、MarsEdit v4.5ではポスト編集画面のサイドパネルからWordPressへのポスト・パスワードの設定が可能になり、Media Managerから画像をFeatured Imageエリアにドラッグ&ドロップして挿入できるようになっています。

　MarsEdit v4.5のシステム要件はmacOS 10.12 Sierra以上で、1ライセンス6,100円(49.95ドル)となっていますが、Mac App Store版/公式ストア版ともに14日間のトライアル期間が設けられているので、興味のある方は試してみてください。
