Microsoftは現地時間2020年02月03日、Insider Slowメンバーに対し音声入力をサポートしたWordやXLOOKUP関数をサポートしたExcel、GIFアニメでの書き出しをサポートしたPowerPointを含んだ「Office 365 for Mac v16.34 (Build 200203)」を公開したと発表しています。

Wordの音声入力
まず、Word for Macでは新たに音声入力(ディクテーション)がサポートされ、MacBookなどマイク搭載のMacでWordのディクテーションボタンをクリックし、マイクへのアクセスを許可すれば、音声でWordにテキストを書き込んでいく「Speech-To-Text」が可能になっています。
Don’t type with your keyboard. Use your voice to type faster and get more done. Simply speak your thoughts to quickly draft that homework assignment, or capture ideas before they are lost. Dictation is now available in Word for Mac.

MicrosoftのOffice Voiceチームが公開した記事によると、この機能はMicrosoft Azure Speech ServicesをWord for Macへ組み込んだもので、現在のところ、中国語や英語(カナダ, イギリス, US)、フランス語、ドイツ語、イタリア語、スペイン語をフルサポートしており、その他の日本語などはプレビュー段階で変換の精度はかなり落ちるそうです。
Excel for Mac
新しいExcel for Macでは既にWindows版でサポートされた「XLOOKUP」関数がサポートされ、最も簡単な例では1つの列で検索語を検索し、別の列の同じ行から結果が返されます。

PowerPoint for Mac
PowerPoint for Macでは昨年末のInsider Fast同様に作成したスライドをGIFアニメーション形式でエクスポートすることが可能になっており、[ファイル] → [エクスポート]からファイル形式で[アニメーションGIF]を選択するだけで各スライドがGIFアニメとして自動的に再生され、オプションで画像の品質と、各スライドの所要時間(fps)を設定することも可能です。
