　2023年01月に旧Twitter(X)がサードパーティ製クライアントの開発を禁止したことで開発が終了してしまったiPhone用Twitterクライアント「Tweetbot for Twitter」などを手掛ける米Tapbosは現地時間2025年03月05日、新たにBluesky向けクライアント「Phoenix」の開発を開始したと発表しています。

Phoenix for Bluesky – Tapbots

　Tapbotsは現在MastdonクライアントIvoryを開発していますが、Tapbotsのプログラマーを務めるPaul Haddadさんとデザイナーを務めるMark Jardineによると、MastdonクライアントIvoryの開発は継続するものの、Blueskyの急速な成長によりユーザーが別れ、会社を存続するためには両方のサポートが必要になったことや、

ActivityPubプロトコルのMastodonとAT ProtocolのBlueskyのクライアントを統合するより別のアプリにしたほうがより良いユーザー体験を提供できると考えPhoenixの開発を決めたそうで、2025年夏頃のリリースを目標に3人で開発に取り組むそうなので、気になる方はBlueskyのPhoenixアカウント(@phoenix.tapbots.com)をフォローしておくことをオススメします。
