　Trend MicroはMac/iOS App Storeから削除されたアプリについてAppleへ再申請しているそうです。詳細は以下から。

　米Trend Microは現地時間2018年09月12日、現在同社のコンシューマー向けMac/iOSアプリが両App Storeで利用できなくなっている問題に対し、現在Appleの要件を完全に満たすようにアップデートし、Appleに再び申請している段階だそうで、他のアプリも配信停止になったことを認識しており、出来るだけ早く問題が解決するように努めているそうですが、今のところはなぜ配信が停止されたかは明確にはなっていないそうです。

We are aware that our other apps have been suspended as well and we are working to resolve this as soon as possible, but thus far the basis for these suspensions is unclear. 　Appleは特定の開発者のアプリが配信停止された理由については公開しないため定かではありませんが、ArsはTrend MicroのMacアプリがMac App Storeで表示されなくなったことについて、ユーザーのブラウザ履歴が収集され、米国内のAWSにアップロードされていた問題がAppleが定める「App Store Reviewガイドライン 5.1.1 データの収集および保存」に接触した事が原因ではないかと予想しており、Macアプリが配信停止になったことで同じ開発者(Trend Micro)が公開していたiOSアプリも配信停止になったのかもしれません。

Despite Trend Micro’s remedy for the problem, none of its apps appear in the Mac App Store. Apple hasn’t confirmed the reasoning for removing those apps, but the company’s developer guidelines have become quite strict about what developers can do with user data. Apps must also get explicit permission to collect most user data, and developers must state how and what they will use that data for.

おまけ

　また、Trend Micro Blogの”Update as of September 12″の1行目に記載されている「”Open Any File”アプリに同じモジュールが実装されているという問題に注意してください。」というのが何を意味しているか分かりませんが、これが“Open Any Files: RAR Support”という名前の間違いならば、

このアプリは2017年の12月に米セキュリティ企業のMalwarebytes Forumで「Trend Microでない開発者(Hao Wuさん)によってMac App Storeで公開されているアプリがユーザーのブラウザ履歴を収集し、zipファイルにまとめてTrend Microのサーバーに送信している」という報告と一致し、その後の文の「我々はこの製品を今後公開せず非サポートとします」という意味も理解できるのですが、

1. Open Any Files app – China developer – exfiltrating to TrendMicro servers
2. Adware Doctor – China developer – same exfiltration technique
3. Komros Adware Cleaner – same AdwareDoctor developer dif account – same exfiltr

According to TrendMicro web site the EULA last update is May – 2018. Open Any Files (which was exfiltrating data to TrendMicro servers) was spotted doing that on December (MalwareBytes Forum a post by PeterNopSled) – From December to May it was only for "security purposes"? pic.twitter.com/BBh7ZPM7LQ

そうすると個人開発者のアプリがTrend Microのアプリに使われていたものと同じモジュールを利用しTrend MicroのサーバーにZipファイルを送る事ができ、そのアプリを非公開にできるということはTrend Microとその開発者の間には何らかの関係があるということになりますが、アプリの名前が1文字違うだけで別のアプリになってしまうのではっきりしません。
