　Apple製SSDから一部のサードパーティ製SSDへ換装したMacでOSのアップグレードができない問題はmacOS 10.14 Mojave Betaでも発生しているそうです。詳細は以下から。

　Appleが2017年09月にリリースした「macOS 10.13 High Sierra」では、Apple製のSSDからOWCやSamsungなどサードパーティ製のSSDに換装したMacで、Firmwareの検証が出来ずアップグレードできない問題が発生していますが、この問題はmacOS 10.14 Mojave Betaでも確認されているそうです。

As Mojave is still a Beta, it is not officially supported by OWC SSDs at this time. We are aware of installation troubles and are actively working on a resolution.

Trying to install the Mojave developer beta on my MacBook Pro with a 1Tb OWC Aura SSD.
Even though I am attempting the Mojave install, I am getting the message:
MacOD High Sierra cannot be installed because the third-party storage installed in your Mac is not compatible. Please contact the supplier directly for assistance.

　この問題はSSDが換装可能なMacBookシリーズやMac Proで確認されており、一度Macに利用されていたApple製のSSDでmacOSをアップグレードし、Firmwareをアップデート、その後もう一度サードパーティ製SSDを接続することでOSのアップグレードが出来たという報告も出ており、

macOS Mojave cannot be installed because the third-party storage installed in your Mac is not compatible.
You may not install to this volume because the computer is missing a firmware partition.

　OWCのAura SSDについてはOSのアップグレードが可能になる「Firmware Update」を2017年11月から提供していますが、現在もまだBeta版扱いで、OWCはNVMeベースでOSのアップグレードも可能な「Aura Pro X」の発売を行っていますが、その他SamsungやCrucialなどの状況は不明なので、macOS 10.13 High Sierra以降へアップグレードする際は注意してください。
