　Googleは現地時間2017年09月05日、デスクトップ版Stable Channelをアップデートし、安定性の向上および22件の脆弱性を修正したGoogle Chrome 61の安定版をリリースしたと発表しています。

The Chrome team is delighted to announce the promotion of Chrome 61 to the stable channel for Windows, Mac and Linux. This will roll out over the coming days/weeks.

　Google Chrome v61では新たにWebUSBや、AppleのSafari Technology Previewでもサポートを始めている”JavaScript Modules(STP v21)”や”Payment Request API(STP v38)”がネイティブサポートされています。

キーボードやマウス、ゲームパッドなどのハードウェアをWebアプリが利用するためのWebUSB機能。 (WebKitでも”Not Considering“)
外部モジュールを読み込むための”JavaScript Modules“をネイティブサポート。
ショッピングサイト上で一貫性のある決済フローを実現する”Payment Request API“。
Androidの共有機能を呼び出す”Web Share API“。

おまけ

　また、2017年10月にリリース予定のGoogle Chrome v62ではパスワードやクレジットカードなどのインプットフォームだけではなく、何らかの入力があるHTTP接続のWebサイトにおいて”Not secure”の警告を表示するため、GoogleはセキュリティブログにてWebサイトを常時SSL(HTTPS)化を求めています。

Passwords and credit cards are not the only types of data that should be private. Any type of data that users type into websites should not be accessible to others on the network, so starting in version 62 Chrome will show the “Not secure” warning when users type data into HTTP sites.
