英Raspberry Pi Foundationはオープンソースで開発しているMac/Windows/Linux対応のRaspberry Pi OS用のブートメディア作成ツール「Raspberry Pi Imager」の次期メジャーアップデート版となる「Raspberry Pi Imager v2.0」のOpen Betaを公開したと発表しています。

Raspberry Pi Imagerは2020年03月にRaspberry Pi Imager v1.0がリリースされ、その後対応するRaspberry Pi OSのバージョンやCLIツール、メディアのフォーマット機能、ユーザーIDやWi-Fiパスワードの事前設定機能が追加されてきましたが、
Raspberry Pi Imager v2.0は、これらの機能を継承しつつ、新しいウィザードUIに刷新され、依存関係の大規模リファクタリング、今年04月にリリースされた新しいQt 6.9の採用、アクセシビリティの改善などが行われています。

Raspberry Pi Imager v2.0 (Beta版)のシステム要件は、引き続きmacOS 11 Big Sur以降のIntel/Apple Silicon Macで、Appleの公証も取得しているので、Raspberry Piユーザーの方は試してみてください。
