米カリフォルニア州のOllama, Inc.は現地時間2025年07月03日、MacやPC、Linuxなどのローカル環境で大規模言語モデル(LLM)セットアップできるオープンソースのLLM管理ツール「Ollama」をバージョン0.9.5へアップデートし、macOSとWindowsアプリを刷新したと発表しています。

Ollama for macOS v0.9.5では、メニューバーアイコンだけでなく[Settings]ウィンドウが追加され、この設定ウィンドウから新たにネットワーク上にOllamaで管理しているLLMを公開できるようになったため、低スペックなデバイスから高性能なMacやPC、Linuxマシンで起動しているLLMを利用することが可能になり、モデルの保存場所をブラウジングして変更できるようになっています。

また、Ollama for macOS v0.9.5では、アプリケーションがElectron製からmacOSネイティブに刷新され、これによりアプリケーションサイズが約4分の1になった他、アプリの起動が大幅に高速化されているので、ユーザーの方はアップデートしてみてください。
