アメリカのサードパーティメーカーOWCは現地時間2020年09月30日、Thunderbolt 4ポートを搭載したWindowc PCで利用可能な3ポートThunderbolt 4ハブ「OWC Thunderbolt Hub」を10月下旬より発売するとして、公式ストアでプレオーダーを開始しています。

Thunderbolt 4ハブは、Intelが2020年07月にThunderbolt 4規格を発表した際にも紹介され、09月28日にはDellが第11世代Coreプロセッサ「Tiger Lake」を搭載し、Thunderbolt 4をサポートしたノートPC XPSシリーズを発表しているため、今後はこれらが主流となっていくと思われますが、
OWC Thunderbolt HubにはWindows PCに接続するThunderbolt 4のUpstream Portが1つとThunderbolt 4対応の周辺機器に接続するDownstream Portsが3つに加え、USB 3.2 (10Gbps)対応のUSB-Aポートが1つ、DC入力ポートが搭載され、最大60WでWindows PCを充電することが可能になっています。
OWC Thunderbolt HubはDaisy Chainをサポートし、3つのTree Branchを作成するため、他のポートに影響を与えず、対応デバイスの接続/切断が可能で、最大5K/6K/8Kのディスプレイを1つ、4Kのディスプレイを2つ接続することも可能で、価格は149ドルとなっており、現在はWindows PCのみですが、AppleはApple Silicon搭載のMacで引き続きThunderboltをサポートすると発表しているので、今後発売されるApple Silicon Macでも利用できるようになると思われます。
