　Appleは2015年にリリースしたOS X 10.11 El Capitanで、例え管理者権限(root)であっても”/System”や”/bin”,”/var”へアクセスできないようにするセキュリティ機能「SPI: System Integrity Protection(通称Rootless)」を導入しましたが、このSIPが無効になっているMacでGoogle Chromeブラウザのアップデート後、Macが正常に起動しなくなる不具合が確認され、Googleが調査を開始したそうです。

この不具合がGoogleのソフトウェアアップデーターKeystoneによるもので、利用しているMacがSIPが無効である(デフォルトでは有効)/SIP機能を持っていない(OS X 10.10 Yosemite)場合に発生することを突き止めたようです。

復元方法

　GoogleのサポートマネージャーCraigさんは、被害に合われたMacをお持ちの方はMacをリカバリーモードで起動し、ターミナルから以下のコマンドを実行することで破損したファイルシステムが復元される可能性があるとコメントしているので、心当たりのある方はチェックしてみてください。
