Mac用グラフィックデザインアプリ「Affinity Designer」がv1.2にアップデートしコーナーツールやShapeに沿ってテキスト配置できるText-on-a-path機能を搭載しています。詳細は以下から。
Serif Labsは25年間Windows用の写真編集アプリを作成してきたイギリスの会社で、約4年前からMac用のドローイングアプリ「Affinity Designer」を開発し2014年10月にリリースされすぐにスタッフのオススメ認定されたMac用グラフィックデザインアプリですが、このAffinity Designerがv1.2にアップデートしています。

Text-on-a-path
Text-on-a-path機能はShapeやペンツールで書いた曲線上にテキストを配置できる機能で、まずテキストを配置したいShapeなどを選択（①）、次にテキストツールを選択（②）、先ほど選択したShapeの縁にマウスカーソルを持って行くとアイコンが波線”〜”に変わるのでそこでクリックすると”Text-on-a-path”機能が使用できます。
Corner tool
Corner toolはShapeに素早くカーブを付けられる機能で、v1.2からツールメニューに”Corner tool”のアイコンが加わっており、Corner toolを選択し適用したいコーナーを選択、後はShapeのコーナーをドラッグするとコーナーの形が変わります。
Export
エクスポート機能も書き出せるフォーマット数は変わっていませんが、SVG, EPSとPDFファイルにオプションが追加されています。
Dashed strokes
ラインツールに破線のオプションが追加。
以上の機能以外にも「変更履歴をドキュメントに保存」「Affinity Photoとの連携」「ドイツ、スペイン、フランス、US 英語のサポート」などの機能が追加されや複数の不具合の改善がされていますが、一部日本語（マルチバイト文字）が正しく表示されない不具合はまだ修正されていませんでした。
