　今回Appleがネットワークサービス大手のCisco Systems,Inc.と結んだパートナーシップは、Ciscoがエンタープライズ向けにiOSデバイス用アプリやネットワークの最適化サービスを提供するというもので、具体的にはAppleとCiscoのエンジニアチームが協力してCiscoが提供しているCisco Spark, Cisco TelePresence および Cisco WebExサービスをiOSデバイス向けに最適化していくとのことです。

We are coming together to optimize Cisco networks for iOS devices and apps, integrating iPhones with Cisco environments and providing unique collaboration capabilities on iPhones and iPads. 　AppleとCiscoといえばAppleが2007年にiPhoneを発売した際、Ciscoが販売していた”iPhone”の商標をめぐり提訴、その後和解した過去がありますが、

　今回の発表は、AppleのTim Cook CEOがCiscoのセールスカンファレンスにサプライズ登場し、CiscoのCEO John Chambers氏と共に2万人のCiscoの従業員に発表したそうです。また、Ciscoのネットワークは米Fortune誌が発表しているグローバル企業 500社の95%が使用しており、AppleにとってはiOSデバイスを各企業に採用してもらう良い機会を得たことになります。

　Appleは2014年からIBMや日本郵政グループともエンタープライズ向けのサービスで協力していくことを発表しており、今後更に多くの企業とパートナーシップを結ぶかもしれません。
