　アメリカのサードパーティ製メーカーOWCは現地時間2021年01月11日、CES2021にあわせて、USB-Aや3.5mmオーディオ、Gigabit Ethernet、SDカードリーダーなどを搭載したThunderbolt 4対応の10-in-1(合計11ポート) Dock「OWC Thunderbolt Dock (以下、Thunderbolt 4 Dock)」を新たに発売すると発表しています。

　OWCの新しいThunderbolt 4 Dockは、同社が2020年に発売したThunderbolt 4対応のハブ「OWC Thunderbolt Hub」と2018年に発売したThunderbolt 3対応のドック「OWC Thunderbolt 3 Dock」を合わせたような製品で、

ポート数はThunderbolt 3 Dockの方が多いですが、新しいThunderbolt 4 DockはThunderbolt 4出力ポートを3つ搭載し、最大2台の4Kまたは1台の5K/6K/8Kディスプレイを出力をサポートしているほか、ホストのノートPCやMacBookを最大90WのPower Deliveryで充電することが可能になっています。

　また、microSDカードリーダーは搭載されていませんが、SDカードリーダーはUHS-IIIクラスの転送速度312MB/sに対応し、フロントにはキーボードやマウスを接続できるUSB 2.0ポートとマイクとヘッドホン(In/Out)に対応した3.5mmオーディオジャック、ホストPC/Macへ接続するためのThunderbolt 4ポートが搭載され、サイドには盗難防止用のKensington Security SlotとNano Security Slotが付いています。

Apple M1チップ搭載のMacBookでは仕様により最大1台の外部ディスプレイしかサポートしていません。
