　Mac用ブログエディタ「MarsEdit」が2019年3月のアップデートでGoogleのBloggerをサポートサービスから外すと発表しています。詳細は以下から。

　元Appleのソフトウェアエンジニアで現在はRed Sweater Softwareを設立し、Mac用ブログエディタ「MarsEdit」などを開発しているDaniel Jalkutさんは現地時間2019年02月14日、サポートブログにて03月15日以降、約12年MarsEditでサポートしてきたブログサービス「Blogger/Blogspot」のサポートを終了すると発表しています。

I have bad news for MarsEdit users who publish to Blogger: Google is shutting down the Picasa Web Albums API, and MarsEdit will no longer be able to upload images to Blogger/Blogspot blogs.[…]Without support for uploading media, I can no longer endorse Blogger as a suitable blogging service for MarsEdit users. After March 15, 2019, I will update MarsEdit to remove Blogger as a supported system.

APIの廃止

　DanielさんはBloggerをサポート・ブログサービスから外す事について、Bloggerのブログは直接写真や画像をアップデートするAPIを提供していないものの、Picasa Web Albums APIを介したアップデート方法があり、サポート以来この方法を利用してMarsEditからBloggerへの写真埋め込みを行ってきましたが、今年に入りGoogleから03月以降そのAPIを廃止すると発表があり、新しいGoogle Photos APIでも同じ様な事ができるか検討したそうですが、

Uploading images to Blogger has never been straightforward. Since I first added support for Blogger almost 12 years ago, I have needed to jump through hoops to support image uploads for the service. Their API has never directly supported image uploads, but I had been able to accommodate solutions using Picasa’s API.

残念ながらGoogle Photos(API)アルバムからBloggerなどへ個別に写真を埋め込むことができない事から、写真や画像をアップロードできないブログサービスを適切なブログサービスとして見なすことはできないとして、MarsEditのサポートサービスから外すことを決めたそうで、BloggerユーザーにはWordPressへの移行を勧めています。
