　Rosetta Checkは、Microsoftでデバイス管理サービスIntuneを開発するNeil Johnsonさんが開発したアプリで、Appleが2027年末にもリリースを予定しているmacOS 28でIntelアプリをApple Silicon Mac上で動作させる「Rosetta 2」を廃止することを発表したため、

Rosettaは現在、Appleシリコン搭載のすべてのMacで利用でき、次のmacOSのメジャーリリースであるmacOS 27まで引き続き利用可能です。macOS 28以降を搭載したコンピュータでは、Intelベースのフレームワークに依存する一部の古いメンテナンス対象外のゲームにのみ、Rosettaの機能が利用可能になります。

それに備えるためにユーザーのMac内にあるRosettaなしで動かないIntelアプリを検出してくれる機能が実装されていますが、このRosetta Checkが最新のバージョン2.0で、新たにIntel用コンポーネントのチェックに対応しています。

　AppleはWWDC25後、最適なパフォーマンスと将来の互換性を確保するためにIntelベースのアプリだけでなく、プラグインや拡張機能、その他のアドオンをApple Siliconに対応させるように開発者に通知していますが、Rosetta Check v2.0では、AUやVST3などのオーディオプラグイン、FxPlugやPremiereなどのビデオプラグイン、写真機能拡張、3Dプラグイン、システム拡張、仮想カメラ、ログインアイテム、ヘルパーなどをチェックできる[Components]タブが追加されました。

　Johnsonさんは、Pro ToolsやLogic, Photoshopユーザーは長年にわたり蓄積されたIntelプラグインがmacOS 28へのアップデートで一晩にして使えなくなる可能性があるとして、この機能を追加したそうで、Rosetta Check v2.0では、このComponentsとAppsを統合しApple Silicon-Onlyへの移行を評価する[Total Mac Readiness]スコアやUniversalアプリ内のIntelバイナリを検出する[Deep inspection]機能も実装されているので、Intel Mac歴が長いかたは試してみて下さい。
