X(旧Twitter)のスケジュール投稿やまとめを作成できるサービスTypefullyの共同創業者のFabrizio Rinaldiさんは現地時間2026年04月08日、macOSネイティブで軽量＆高速なMarkdownエディタ「Cogito」のBeta版をリリースしたと発表しています。

Fabrizioさんは高性能なObsidianやVS Code、UIが美しいiA WriterなどいくつかのMarkdown対応エディタを使っていたものの、自分の使い方にあったMarkdownが見つからなかったため、Cogitoを開発したそうで、CogitoはmacOSネイティブはもちろん、

CogitoはmacOSネイティブはもちろん、ソースとプレビューの切り替え、プレビューとのスクロール同期/リアルタイム変更、20以上の言語に対応したシンタックスハイライト、200以上のカスタムフォルダアイコン、画像やメディアのドラッグ&ドロップ、フォントやフォントサイズ/装飾の変更、キーボードを利用したクイックアクションなどが利用できるようになっています。
Cogitoのシステム要件はmacOS 26 Tahoe以降のApple Silicon Mac(Intel Macは非対応)で、アプリはBeta版のうちは無料で配布するそうなので、Markdownエディタをお探しの方は試してみて下さい。
