　スウェーデンのYubico社は現地時間2019年11月01日、今年08月に発売したUSB-CとLightningポートを備えU2FやFIDO2/WebAuthn準拠の2段階認証用セキュリティキー「YubiKey 5Ci」に2段階認証用情報を保存/閲覧できるiOSアプリ「Yubico Authenticator」を新たにリリースしたと発表しています。

　Yubico Authenticatorはスマートフォンに2段階認証用情報を保存するGoogle AuthenticatorやMicrosoft Authenticatorとは異なり、セキュリティキー自体に情報を記録するためよりセキュアで、パスワードを設定しMacやWindows、Linux PC用のデスクトップアプリで2段階認証用コードを確認することも出来ます。

おまけ

　発売当初アメリカ以外の国への発送が遅れていた「YubiKey 5Ci」は現在Amazon.co.jpでも取り扱われていますが、その後iOS 13を搭載したiPhone 7以降で利用できるUSB-CとNFC対応のセキュリティキー「YubiKey 5C NFC」が発表され、Yubico Authenticatorは今後YubiKey NFCシリーズをサポートするそうなので、これからYubiKeyの購入を検討されている方はNFC版を購入した方が汎用性が高いと思います。
