Appleは2024年06月に開催したWWDC24の中で、Windows向けに開発されたDirectX 12対応のゲームタイトルをMacへ移植するためのツイールキット「Game Porting Toolkit 2 (PTK2)」を発表するとともに、フィンランドのRemedy Entertainment Ltd.が開発する80以上のゲームアワードを受賞したアクションアドベンチャーゲーム「Control Ultimate Edition」がMacへ移植されることを発表、2025年03月にMac App Storeで正式にリリースされましたが、

Appleは2025年06月に開催されたWWDC25で、GPTK2を「Game Porting Toolkit 3」へアップデートし、Apple Silicon Macに移植したゲームアプリをさらにiPhoneやiPad、Vision Proに移植しやすくするため、On Screen ControlやPlayStation VR2 Senseコントローラー、各プラットフォーム間でのCross Device Game Saveへの対応が取り上げられていたため、
