Appleは現地時間2019年12月02日、一部のメディアをニューヨークに招き、2019年にリリースされ話題を集めたMacやiPhone、iPadアプリを「今年のベストアプリ」として表彰し、各App Storeで発表しています。

発表された2019年の今年のベストアプリは以下の通りで、Macアプリでは2019年06月に発売されたイギリスSerif Labsが開発しているAffinityスイートのDTPアプリ「Affinity Publisher for Mac」と、
歌声を失ってしまった経験から自分自身の世界に迷い込んでしまった女の子”Girs”の物語を描いたパズルアクションゲーム「GRIS (Devolver Digital, Inc.)」が受賞しています。
